anyone else using davdroid to sync google calendars figure out how to sync shared calendars too? I'm open to using ICSdroid. I'm only using google calendar until I can get nextcloud running on my nixos server...

If guaranteed minimum income and universal healthcare were a thing, I think so many of my programmer colleagues would immediately take low-income sabbaticals to write high-quality good-ui users-first free and open source software that it would inspire tedious "how was it possible?!?" medium dot com thinkpieces for years and years

i will start organizing my webring tonight.

here are some thoughts on core principles for the webring, let me know your thoughts:
* every site should list all* of the other sites in the webring
* you cannot do this automatically. it has to be an inefficient organic process over either fediverse or email
* it's fine if things aren't completely consistent. in fact you can do anything that adds flavor to the list of links. you can also omit people you don't want to link for whatever reason
* the core theme of the webring is "we want webrings to be a thing again"
* your website can be any http(s)-addressible page that you want to share
* no zuckerbook/birdsite links
